This is about you & me, women in Islam

My dear Ladies, do you know we are almost half of the population of the world? We are the creators of new lives, humanity, by God’s will.

“And We have enjoined on man [to be good] to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him and his weaning was over two years. Be thankful to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination.” [Noble Quran, Chapter Luqman # 31 verse#14]

Among us are mothers, sisters, aunts, wives, daughters, granddaughters or grandmothers. You are a member of the great nation of Islam, the best nation ever evolved for mankind.

“You are (the) best (of) people raised for the mankind – enjoining the right and forbidding [from] the wrong and believing in Allah.” [Nobel Quran Chapter Al-Imran #3 verse#110]

Surely you are curious to know the secret of taking this great place among all the nations, if so, then the answer lies within us ourselves, our ancestors, specially our women of Islam.
Well, after reading and understanding the final revelation from Allah, The Noble Quran, I can proudly say that Islam is guidance and is a straight religion, and undoubtedly it leads humanity to righteousness and truth.

Say: “O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah.” If then they turn back, say ye: “Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah’s Will).” [Nobel Quran Chapter Al-Imran #3 verse#64]

I am so amazed to see the wonders of Islam every single day, how it transforms people from worshipers of slaves to worshipers of the Lord (One Allah) of slaves, from rules of the unjust to the rules of Allah, from life’s pressures to the pleasures of the Life after, and from the injustice of other religions to the justice of Islam. Aren’t you amazed?
Many of us who don’t know Islam well would might say that the role of a man and woman is conflicting but the truth is it’s not, it is complimentary. It is all about partnership, it is not contradictory, so as to strive for supremacy.
A verse from the Qur’an from Surah Al Ahzab (The Combined Forces) Ch.33,  Verse No.35, which says,

‘For Muslim men and Muslim women,
for believing men and women,
for devout men and women,
for true men and women,
for men and women who are patient and constant,
for men and women who give in charity,
for men and women who fast and deny themselves,
for men and women who guard their chastity,
for men and women who engage much in God’s praise,
God has prepared for them forgiveness and a vast reward.’

What anyone could summarize the information from this verse would be, spiritual duties, the moral duties, for the men and women in Islam are the same – Both have to believe, both have to pray, both have to fast, both have to give in charity, etc, etc.
So I believe it is time for all of us to wake up to realize and appreciate the fact that Islam’s radical revolutionary support, gave women their due right and status even in the days of ignorance, 14 centuries ago.

Dear Ladies, think about it, know your place, your status, know your rights and fight for it.
Islam’s objective was and continues to be, to modernize our thinking as well as our living, our seeing and hearing, our feeling and striving for the women’s upliftment and emancipation in the society.
Islam means peace, it believes in equality of men and women – ‘Equality’ does not mean ‘identicality’.

Next part who is woman?

Ambreen Islam

I Ambreen Islam (Amber) am currently a student of ‘Doctor of Pharmacy’, with a passion of helping sick people and manufacturing the cure of deadly diseases one day. I also like to study comparative religion e.g. Islam, Christianity, Hinduism etc. As a student of science and Islamic studies, I love to compare the two, which in my case go side by side i.e. Religion with science and logic. The book of signs (The Noble Quran) helps me understand science better.
